Hedgerows for Pollinators
Hedgerows are "living fences" that provide visual screens and windbreaks between neighbors. When composed of wildlife-friendly perennials, shrubs, and trees, they can provide shelter and food for a host of insects and animals and become a travel lane for migratory birds. Kelly Gill of the Xerxes Society presents the steps in planning, site preparation, and planting a pollinator hedgerow on your property.
