Fall Walks & Hikes: Mergers & Acquisitions
The 500-acre Red Clay Reservation was recently merged with Mt. Cuba Center’s original properties, adding an exceptionally diverse landscape to our already remarkable gardens. Walk with Steve Hands, Red Clay Supervisor, and Nate Shampine, our Natural Lands Manager, and hear about Mrs. Copeland’s vision for this preserved landscape and how management practices have evolved over time. Explore a variety of habitats on this picturesque property and learn what the future holds for it. Be prepared for walking over rolling hills and navigating some uneven terrain. This course is part of the Fall Walks & Hikes series.
