2019 Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival

Eat Chocolate. Do Good...in Your Neighborhood.

“Eat Chocolate. Do Good…in Your Neighborhood” is the theme for this year’s Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival – which is slated to be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Kennett High School from 12 – 3PM.

The Festival raises funds for United Way of Southern Chester County, which supports 26 health and human service programs in the area. The Festival has been multi-year Best Desserts winner in the County Lines Best of the Best Contest – and attracts near sell-out crowds from the Philadelphia region. Buy your festival tickets at www.KennettChocolate.org. Early-bird discounts through November 30.

Professional, amateur and student bakers will compete for ribbons and bragging rights. Contestants in the Festival compete in specific categories and there is no fee to enter. New this year is a specific category for Decorative Cakes – and it’s already attracting attention from pastry chefs all over the Philadelphia metro looking to show off their creativity. Entry deadline is January 24, 2019. Last year, over 200 chocolate entries were judged. Winners included: The Mexican Table, bakes, Sweet Magnolia, Country Butcher, Barretta’s Italian Restaurant, and Ms. Kelly Barboni (who won in three categories!), plus amateurs and students from throughout the area.

If you are coming just to indulge, VIP ticket holders gain early entrance at 12:00PM; General Admission opens 1:00PM. VIP tickets are $30 ($50/couple) and include six tastings, a beverage, professional demonstrations, as well as free parking. General admission tickets are $13.00 ($40 for Family 4-pack) and include six tastings per person. Additional tasting tickets are available for $.50 each. Parking is $5.00 per car.
