Nichole Gerding discusses historic uses of dyes, identifying and responsibly harvesting local dye-producing plants, and how to kick-start your own dye garden. Preparation and dyeing techniques using natural mordants and modifiers are presented. This class will be presented in a virtual format. A recording of the preparation and dyeing techniques will be sent to registered students to watch prior to a live Q&A session with the instructor at 12:30pm on 5/16.
