Delaware Nature Society and Association of Nature Center Administrators are co-sponsoring the 2016 Professional Leadership Institute, held at Ashland Nature Center in Hockessin, DE. The deadline to sign up is December 11. Scholarships are available, and requests must be sent in by December 4. Lodging is available at the Ashland Nature Center Lodge. The Professional Leadership Institute (PLI) is geared towards professionals who are looking to grow their institution, network with colleagues, prepare for challenges and focus their vision. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insight and expertise in key components of operating a non-profit institution, share successes and lessons learned from experience, acquire techniques in recognizing and preparing for challenges, and refresh and focus their vision. Speakers will address a variety of topics, including fund development, attracting new audiences, developing effective communication skills, and more.
