Brandywine Valley Chorale welcomes you to our upcoming holiday concert. The main featured composition, Magnificat, was premiered and recorded by the acclaimed British singing group, VOCES8. This gorgeous five-movement work is scored for full chorus and soprano solo with piano and orchestra. Magnificat recounts the Biblical story of the visit by Mary, the mother of Jesus, to her cousin Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist. It was written by the respected American composer of sacred music, Taylor Scott Davis. The program highlights additional seasonal works and will include our traditional Christmas carol sing-along.
