The preeminent hymnologist and hymn writer, The Rev. Dr. Carl P. Daw Jr., will come to Westminster on Sunday, June 21. Dr. Daw served as executive director of The Hymn Society and taught at Boston University and Yale. His most substantial hymnological work is "Glory to God: A Companion," which provides that 2013 Presbyterian hymnal with historical background for each text and tune as well as biographical information about each author, composer, translator, and arranger. Dr. Daw will preach at the 9:30 AM service and will present “Singing through the Church Year” during the education hour following worship (approximately 10:45 AM).
